I don't regret buying this guitar. I don't have a lot of time on my hands or money in my pockets so I was looking for something like this product. It has an OK sound. It's big for me but I'm a small person so that's just me. The gig bag is pretty bad. The guitar barely fits in it with a lot of shoving and it looks like it's probably going to break. I'm not sure about this part but it seems like the neck is bending back. It's cheap material so this isn't a surprise. But as I learn chords and read tabs and get used to it, I'm happy with it. It stays tuned for a decent amount of time. The DVD isn't that helpful. I threw it out. There are sites online that are very helpful. One of the strings broke already but changing it was no big deal. They probably could've given directions on how to tune with the electronic tuner, change the strings. etc. Overall, it's good for learning and I think it was a good purchase and just remember you can always upgrade as soon as you've learned the basics.

I should've listened to the reviews before buying this guitar. They shipped me the guitar with a two-inch crack near the nut, and the paint was chipped in several other places. I would have shipped this one off for a replacement, but since they told me that I have to be the one who pays for the return shipping (which is bull), I didn't. I wouldn't buy from this seller again...

The guitar I bought had terrible sound. Strings were too high from the fret board making it hard to play. On top of which it is badly made in China and the guitar cracked at the joint between the neck and the body.

Gig bag and other accessories are a hoax. The bag is thin as paper and wont last a month. The only credit I gave was to the pitch pipe tuner. Strings that come along with this guitar are absolutely the worst I have ever seen.

I bought this kit as a beginner for my niece who turned 15 and wanted to learn how to play guitar. Every DVD that I have (in short order, I will have everything Artie is in!) with Artie shows an enthusiam that is just so contagious. I have even recorded the demo songs that they do and burn them onto CDr: not for guitar practice, but for enjoyment in the car! They are that good. Artie has this subtle background harmony that is very pleasing to the ear.

As a guitar student, don't pass up anything with Artie's name on it. If you love Happy's teaching, you will love Artie's and enjoy the difference between the two gifted brothers. Also, take a look at iTunes and search on both Happy and Artie. Their music will bless you richly. My little ones *at age 5 and 7, know most of their songs by heart and love to sing them. Whether it is Happy breaking your heart with his version of "Delia" or amazing you with Dylan's "buckets of rain", or Artie's gentle introduction of jazz into acoustic guitar, these men are American treasures.

With respect to their guitar lessons: I own more than 50% of the Homespun DVD offerings and within a few years, will own it all. I also own drumming for kids, keyboard (my son) and some of their vocal lessons (and 1 harmonica lesson from John Sebastian, another great personality on DVD!).

This kit comes with a Yamaha guitar, a guitar strap, a tuner, 3 picks, a DVD, and a case. The Guitar itself is very well made and has a great sound. I also like the guitar case it comes with its not a hard case but it is still coveniant for a road trip. Although the tuner is realy cheap, it does not work very well, I actually broke a string using the tuner. I can't even figure out how to put the strap on. Lastly, the dvd is really bad quality. In my opinion you are better off buying just a guitar and a good guitar book, I recommend the book Guitar Method.

I am the target audience for this set: I don't know anything about playing the guitar, but would like to learn. I've had this for a few days and am entirely happy with it. The guitar - well, I have nothing to compare it with, but it's physically attractive, feels good in my hands, and makes a lovely sound when I twang a string. I don't know enough about guitars to be a fair judge, but there's nothing obvious about it to make it inferior to the guitars of my friends who play, and in fact I like it better than some I've seen. The book and CD are simple enough for me to follow, and the digital tuner is simple to use. I've successfully tuned the guitar and learned how to play an E chord, so I'm feeling satisfied and accomplished. Everything arrived in excellent condition and ready to use, and I didn't have to go buy anything else in order to get started.

OMG!!!!!!!!!This guitar is so awesome!!! The texture is smooth and seems very natural. I like the cutaway part, it looks really pro. This guitar, with this price, seems so expensive!!!! and has an expensive guitar quality. You'll be attracted to this appearance! The only little concern I have is that the strings are a little bit too thick, so it hurts a little bit to play. But I can change the strings when it's used to much, so that's not a problem. Besides, playing at thick strings first can train my fingers to play better on other guitars. The sound is very bright and clear, not so clean (maybe it'll be with different strings). I love this guitar!!! Very cheap and high quality!

Ok so this guitar IS does have a cheap price which would describe its CHEAP quality. when I got it a piece of wood was already fallen off from the inside and the "wood" part that holds the strings looks like it's about to fling off any second now!! It looks like a two year old glued it together. (Really really messy job) it was scratched and the gold trim on the side was also messily painted. :( IT DOES NOT HAVE A WHITE TRIM ON THE SIDE!!! ITIS BLACK WITH A YELLOW SKINNY TRIM ON THE SIDE, not like it looks in the picture. It DID come with all of the parts showed in the picture. For those people who say the strap is too short for the bad, IT IS NOT FOR THE BAG its FOR THE GUITAR ITSELF. the guitar has a cheap price, even cheaper quality, but it did come with everything, and PRAYING and HOPING that it won't break apart in your hands, it's a descent(I won't even say good) start for a person who has ABSOULUTELY NO EXPERIENCE AT ALL ON THE GUITAR (which was me). Looking back on it now, I would have ABSOULUTELY spent about 40 more dollars on a 100 dollar guitar and got better quality than this guitar that looks like my 8 year old daughter put together. So you decide yourself!!! Do you want something that will probably do for 3 months or do you want to spend only 40 more dollars on a guitar that actually looks like it wasn't made at home!!! (I would have spent those 40 dollars if I knew what I know now) OH AND BTW I WOULD HAVE RETURNED IT BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE S&H YOUSELF WHICH IS LIKE 15 DOLLARS) overall opinion: crappy quality

I purchased this guitar about 6 weeks ago, after the first week we noticed a crack in the neck, thinking maybe somehow we did something wrong, we took it to a local repair shop, he looked at it and said that this (supposedly brand new) guitar had been repaired before and rather badly, he said he could fix it but with continued use it will crack and become worse, well it did. I can't believe we were sold such a piece of junk and then for it to be passed off as New. Do not buy, Seller is not honest.

Comes with very loud amp, clear sound.
Beautiful guitar.
Fantastic for beginners.
Comes with all accessories needed.

If you are getting this, make sure to buy a new 1/4 cable, because the one that comes with is terrible. Also get better strings (Ernie Balls are my preference).

It does require tuning and tremolo adjustments, so make sure to read guides on the net to figure those out.
